RULED is a large-scale wall installation composed of ruled writing paper, pinboard pins, and ink. The paper is arranged in a precise yet dynamic configuration, creating a structured grid that guides the viewer’s eye. Ink is dripped from above using a pipette, following the contours of the paper and responding to both gravity and chance. This interplay of control and unpredictability mirrors the act of writing itself, exploring the tension between deliberate mark-making and accidental occurrences. The work transforms everyday materials into a contemplative space, reflecting on language, repetition, and the poetic potential of ordinary objects, while inviting viewers to engage with structure and materiality.
