“SHIMMER (Filing)” transforms office materials into a fragile, shimmering structure. Steel fastener strips from file folders and paper fasteners from mailing envelopes are poetically repurposed as the elements of a delicate wall work. By translating tools of bureaucracy into an aesthetic structure, the work questions the value systems of labor and art.
